Dear Parents/Carers,
As you may be aware, some of our students went on a skiing trip to Austria over the half-term break. They stayed in the Gerlitzen resort, Austria, and on one occasion, crossed the Italian border to the town of Tarvisio in the province of Udine, for approximately an hour and a half.
To ensure the safety of our students, staff and families, we have consulted with the NHS and Government guidance, as well as Cornwall Council. We have been assured that none of the areas visited, or travelled through fall within the quarantined areas defined by the NHS/Government. The NHS have confirmed to us that they are not concerned by these areas.
As with all guidance currently shared across the media, it is important to be vigilant with regards to hand-washing etc., and be aware of the symptoms of Corona Virus, as shared by the NHS, which include fever and shortness of breath. If you or your child experience these symptoms, and are concerned, the advice is that you contact the NHS via 111.
Please can you relay this information to your child, and ask that they are responsible in their approach to the precautionary measures.
We will keep you updated if the guidance to schools changes.
Yours faithfully,
Dominic Wilkes
