Hot Weather Provisions

22nd June 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: Provisions for the hot weather that is forecast for this week
With the forecast of high temperatures over the coming week, we are putting in place the following temporary measures to support students’ wellbeing and comfort:
- Uniform adjustments: Students may attend school in their PE kit for the remainder of the week. Alternatively, if wearing the normal uniform, they do not need to wear a tie, or a blazer or jumper. It is the choice of pupils whether they wear their PE kit or the normal uniform on non-PE days.
- Hydration: It is essential that all students bring a filled water bottle with them each day. Students should ensure bottles are filled before arriving at school, and we will provide regular opportunities throughout the day for refilling.
- Sun safety: We recommend that students apply suncream before school and bring some with them to reapply if needed. Where appropriate, students may also bring and wear a hat during break and lunchtime.
We will continue to monitor the situation and take further steps if required to ensure the safety and comfort of all students.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Mr Wilkes
Headteacher
