Overview of the programme
As a school, Budehaven is committed to raising the attainment and aspirations of all students. With this in mind, we are proud to present our Budehaven Talks programme. This is the second year we have offered a series of lectures for our Most Able students in Years 7-13. Our aim is to stimulate, engage and develop a wider appreciation and understanding of the world in a range of contexts.
Students will consider new careers, topics or subjects and take part in thought provoking discussions. These lectures are either delivered by Budehaven staff or from outside speakers, such as parents, past students or local and national organisations such as the Environment Agency.
For our older students, we hope that these lectures may provoke students to consider a new subjects to be studied at university or career paths. They also provide students with an introduction to university style lectures.
