To start the New Year, the wonderful Artwork that our student’s create is on exhibition at The Castle, Bude. It is a celebration and recognition of all the hard work and creativity that our students have demonstrated over the past year.
The exhibition, ‘Our World Of Art’ will be open to the public from the 17th January – 9th February and this year is being displayed in the Willougby Gallery.
As usual, the show demonstrates a diverse range of media and concepts.
The Art Department is very grateful to The Castle for their continued support of our creative pupils here at Budehaven. Mark Berridge, The Castle and Library Manager stated “I am so impressed with the quality of Art that Budehaven Student’s create. They really are wonderful artists!”.
For all our young aspiring artists, who are curious as to the value of Art within the curriculum, I have included a short video posted by the TATE, which really underlines how important Art is and how it can create a platform on which to make sense of the world around you. Enjoy!
We will be having an evening of celebration, and invite all parents, pupils, family and friends to our Private view at The Castle on Friday 3rd February from 4:00pm- 5:00pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Any kind donations to support us in the framing of work, etc would be gratefully received. It would be lovely to see you there, and thank you for your continued support.
If anyone is interested in purchasing any work, please contact rachel.miller@budehaven.cornwall.sch.uk, and we will check availability and, of course, pricing with the student.
Opening hours are from 10am-4pm every day.
