On the 6th July our GCSE pupils were a part of an amazing painting workshop with local Artist Laure Bury (her work is presently featured in our Bistro Gallery), where they learned how to paint expressively using palette knives to create texture and movement within their coastal paintings. Laure’s knowledge and enthusiasm for painting was an inspiration to our students. Pupils created fantastic coastal scenes, which will not only enrich their coursework but will also be showcased in the next Bistro Art Gallery Space exhibition within the school. This workshop was a great way for our Y10 GCSE pupils to end the summer term, and we really look forward to celebrating their achievements in the next BAGS show in the autumn.
