Steel Band Performance at The Royal Cornwall Show
Friday 10^th June

On Friday we took our 12 piece steel band to perform on the main stage at the Royal Cornwall Show. We were asked to provide three sets throughout the day rotating with two other musical acts. The band performed 4 energetic pieces that got the crowd clapping and cheering along and even some on their feet dancing. One of the highlights was getting the crowd on their feet to compete in a limbo competition whilst we played ‘Jump in the Line’.

The band received so many fantastic comments from both the public and the commentator live on stage. All of the students represented the school fantastically from loading and unloading on and off stage to performing their well-rehearsed pieces to such a high standard. We couldn’t be any prouder of them – well done to all involved!
